This advertisement is selling happiness, women, power and luxury if you eat at Burgerking™. The ad is directed primarily for men and I would say men of all ages. It is not directed at wealthy men because it is selling something they probably have. The ad uses desire to sell the product. The advertisement sells because it is telling you that YOU can be king. Every man wants power and women and happiness and it is showing all those things with the burger king. This ad is extremely affective through its ability to not even show the product that is being sold but just put what you want next to its name.
This advertisement is selling weight-loss through eating at Subway™. The ad is primarily directed at men but can be equally affective if a woman wants her male friend to look that way. The financial background, attractiveness, age and marital status are supposed to be "normal" because he is a "normal" looking guy.

The financial background, attractiveness, age and marital status are supposed to be "normal" because he is a "normal" looking guy. This advertisement is affective because you're supposed to be able to relate to this man. And through relating to that man you feel like you can accomplish just as much as him, and therefore if he lost that much weight, why can't you? The ad sells an easy way to get in shape that you feel confident you can do too.
This advertisement is selling money... the money that you'd be saving with Geico™. The targeted audience is anyone meeting the requirements to own and operate a vehicle and those who like money. There is no specific age / background / financial situation that this ad is meant for.
This advertisement is selling money... the money that you'd be saving with Geico™. The targeted audience is anyone meeting the requirements to own and operate a vehicle and those who like money. There is no specific age / background / financial situation that this ad is meant for. This ad sells through suggestion because it is not meant for one specific person. It has something that everyone wants, which is money and is suggesting that you will get that little stack of money if you switch to Geico. The ad works because it makes something we love cute and even more lovable.
This is good, Forrest. For an assignment like this one, it's important state the obvious. With this in mind, I appreciate that you speak to the "cuteness" of the money stack in the Geico ad. This quality might seem obvious, but it an important part of their tactics. Big eyes = adorable baby something = cuteness = desirable. Nice work here.
